Classes of Fixed-order and Adaptive Smooth Goodness-of-fit Tests with Discrete Right-censored Data

چکیده
Classes of hazard-odds based fixed-order and adaptive smooth goodnessof-fit tests for the composite hypothesis that an unknown discrete distribution belongs to a family of distributions using right-censored observations are presented. The proposed classes of tests generalize Neyman’s 33 smooth class of tests. The class of fixed-order tests is the discrete analog of the hazard-based class of tests for continuous failure times studied in Peña. The class of adaptive tests employs a modified Schwartz Bayesian information criterion for choosing the order of the embedding class, with the modification on the criterion accounting for the incompleteness mechanism.

Goodness-of-Fit Tests with Right-Censored Discrete Data
A class of goodness-of-fit tests for right-censored discrete data is described. Finite and asymptotic properties of the test statistics are presented. Specific members of this class of tests are illustrated, and in particular, a class of tests for the null hypothesis that the discrete failure times are geometrically distributed is described. Under the geometric failure time setting, simulation ...
متن کاملAn Updated Review of Goodness of Fit Tests Based on Entropy
Different approaches to goodness of fit (GOF) testing are proposed. This survey intends to present the developments on Goodness of Fit based on entropy during the last 50 years, from the very first origins until the most recent advances for different data and models. Goodness of fit tests based on Shannon entropy was started by Vasicek in 1976 and were continued by many authors. In this paper, ...
متن کاملNonparametric Goodness-of-Fit Tests for Discrete, Grouped or Censored Data
The problems of application of nonparametric Kolmogorov, Cramer-von MisesSmirnov, Anderson-Darling goodness-of-fit tests for discrete, grouped and censored data have been considered in this paper. The use of these tests for grouped and censored data as well as samples of discrete random variables is based on Smirnov transformation. The convergence of statistic distributions to the corresponding...
متن کاملA Comparative Analysis of Some Chi-Square Goodness-of-Fit Tests for Censored Data
In this chapter, we consider some chi-square-type goodness-of-fit tests for right AQ1 censored samples, viz. the Nikulin–Rao–Robson (NRR) test and generalized Pearson–Fisher (GPF) test. We compare these tests in terms of power in the case of testing composite hypotheses by randomly censored and Type II censored samples. Various grouping methods are considered, including equifrequent grouping, g...
متن کاملData Transformations and Goodness–of–Fit Tests for Type–II Right Censored Samples
We suggest several goodness–of–fit methods which are appropriate with Type–II right censored data. Our strategy is to transform the original observations from a censored sample into an approximately i.i.d. sample of normal variates and then perform a standard goodness–of–fit test for normality on the transformed observations. A simulation study with several well known parametric distributions u...
